Indoor sun protection system developed for the needs of air traffic control (SMATSA), designed for installation on the inner side of sloping trapezoidal surfaces of tower domes (formerly known as Rondo 100). It provides complete sun protection while adhering to extremely strict usage conditions:

• Tensioned fabric along the sloping surface for a clear view for air traffic controllers;
• Precise balance of screen fabric transparency and protection from UV and IC radiation (ensures clear visibility even when facing the sun while keeping the room cool and preventing glare on electronic device screens);
• The highest non-flammability standards for screen fiberglass fabric while maintaining air quality;
• Operation enabled from multiple required positions in the dome, with a condition that the system can also be manually operated in emergencies;
• Product durability exceeding 20 years.

Part Specifications

The system consists of:

• Aluminum cassette Ø147 mm
• Aluminum winding tube Ø70 mm
• Screen fiberglass fabric (Mermet E 7510/3030 fabric adopted by the investor "SMATSA")
• Inox cables and cable tensioners for fabric guidance.

Along with the GGT 147 (Rondo 100) system, the GGT UNI 80 system is supplied for the protection of vertical glass surfaces in the dome. This system uses identical fabric and guidance method but is housed in an aluminum cassette measuring 73 x 66 mm. Operation is chain-driven.
